Cacao Ceremony

A heartfelt journey

Cacao has been used in ancient ceremonies by the Mayans for thousands of years. The official Latin name for the cacao tree is Theobroma Cacao, meaning ‘food of the gods’. Ceremonial cacao is a natural and ancient medicine of the heart and is a real heart opener containing euphoria-inducing ingredients. Cacao provides a warm loving glow and promotes creativity and focus. The sensitivity of the physical and emotional body increases, consciousness expands and the cacao brings you back to your true essence and wisdom. You can experience more love, peace and a deeper sense of connection with all that is.

In cacao ceremonies, rituals or circles people come together to connect to their own heart and each other through different activities that enhance and support the gentle effect of the cacao. Conscious practices that go really well together with cacao are for instance; meditation, intention sharing, mantra singing, medicine music, sound healing, movement, tantric practices, breathwork and more.

The purpose of a ceremony can be to heal together as a group by empowering and supporting each other. A ceremony should be a safe space to open up about topics that can be quite sensitive and emotional. By expressing your feelings towards others you release. By hearing the stories of others you recognise yourself in the other and realise how the other is your mirror. Each ceremony is an opportunity to move inwards and outwards and expierence what is there. When you reach a higher state of awareness you can both discover treasures and shadows that come to the surface. As you connect from the heart to each other you raise the energy in the room so upcoming shadows can be released, transformed and healed. At least once per month I organise a cacao ceremony. Usually in co-creation with musicians, breath workers and other beautiful people who have a gift to share with you.
